Historical sources prove: for over 800 years, melting cheese (so called Bratkäse) has been manufactured in the heart of Switzerland. According to the myth, even Wilhelm Tell, the Swiss national hero, has enjoyed it. This tradition was revived by Louis Seiler in 1928. Seiler Bratkäse was then produced in a small dairy close to Sarnen. Thanks to his son, Alois, the melting cheese became an incomparable brand in the 1970s. Nowadays, qualified professionals produce the outstanding cheese specialties. The company is certified with ISO-9001 and continues cheese tradition from the heart of Switzerland – with long experience, modern equipment and unique milk.
